Important Dates
Applications for the engagement of various posts including Junior Engineer, Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant, Chemical Supervisor and Metallurgical Supervisor, and Depot Material Superintendent must be submitted online from July 30, 2024, to August 29, 2024.
Application Fees
The requisite application fees are Rs. 500 for General, OBC, and EWS categories and Rs. 250 for SC, ST, Ex-servicemen, Female, and EBC categories. Online fee payment only through internet banking, debit/credit cards, or UPI will be accepted.
RRB JE Recruitment 2024 Qualification
Junior Engineer (JE):
- Diploma/Degree in Engineering or relevant stream from a recognized university.
Depot Material Superintendent (DMS):
- Diploma/Degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
Junior Engineer (Information Technology):
- PGDCA/B.Sc. (Computer Science)/ BCA/ B.Tech (IT)/ B.Tech (Computer Science)/ DOEACC B level course of 3 years duration or equivalent from a recognized university or institute.
Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA):
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science (B.Sc.) with Physics and Chemistry with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized University.
RRB JE Recruitment 2024 Age Limit
To be eligible for the said posts applicants must be between the ages of 18 to 36 years as of January 1, 2025.

The selection process for RRB JE involves the first stage of CBT, the second stage of CBT, document verification, and a medical examination.
RRB JE Exam Pattern
- There are two stages of Computer Based Test (CBT) i.e. 1st stage CBT and 2nd Stage CBT.
- CBT 1 contains 100 questions and CBT 2 contains 150 questions.
- The duration of CBT 1 and CBT 2 is respectively 90 minutes and 120 minutes.
- There shall be a negative marking of one-third marks for wrong answers.
