OTET Application Form 2024: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha has recently issued a detailed notification regarding the Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET). Applications are invited from eligible candidates for appearing in the OTET Exam 2024.

OTET Exam Date 2024

The exam date for Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) 2024 for both Paper I and Paper II of candidates is scheduled to be held on August 17, 2024. The admit card shall be made available on the BSE website at www.bseodisha.ac.in from August 12, 2024.

OTET Notification 2024 Eligibility

Category A:

• The candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) with a minimum of 50% marks and a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.). Or
• The candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) with a minimum of 50% marks and a four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.). Or
• The candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks and a two-year Diploma in Education (Special Education). Or
• The candidates must have passed Graduation with a minimum of 50% marks and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from an Institution recognized by NCTE.

Category B:

• The candidates must have completed Graduation and two-year D.El.Ed. Or
• The candidates must have completed Graduation with a minimum of 50% marks and a one-year B.Ed. Or
• The candidates must have passed Higher Secondary with a minimum of 50% marks and four-year B.A./ B.Sc.Ed. or B.A.Ed./ B.Sc.Ed.

What is the Pass Mark of OTET?

A candidate who secured 60% or more in the OTET examination will be considered a pass. But in the case of SC/ST/SEBC/PH categories the pass mark is 50% or more.

Exam Pattern

• The OTET Exam comprises two papers i.e. Paper I and Paper II.
• The questions are multiple-choice type.
• The total duration of the test in each paper shall be 2 hours and 30 minutes.
• There shall be no negative marking for wrong answers.

• Step 2: If you have already registered on the BSE Odisha website, click the “Login” button, otherwise click on “New Registration” to register.
• Step 3: Now open the application form and start filling in the details.
• Step 4: Upload the necessary documents.
• Step 5: Pay the requisite application fee.
• Step 6: After correctly entering all the required details, click on the “Information Sheet” so that whatever data you entered can be displayed.
